Remains To Be Seen is a purveyor of 19th and 20th century photographs, photograph cases and other unique vintage items. Remains To Be Seen has been in the photograph business for 25 years in our shop, at major antique shows and since 1998, on the Internet. Our offices are located in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area withthe following retail locations:

Prior to 1995, we were located in Chicago, Illinois. For many years Remains To Be Seen was a major dealer at all White Dolphin shows in Chicago, New Orleans, Miami, and other large shows in Denver, Kansas City, Memphis, Nashville and Philadelphia.

We have hundreds of Daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, cabinet cards and 20th century images. We specialize in unique subject matter including Civil War, theatrical, sports, musicians and a variety of other topics. In addition, we have a variety of Vintage Beaded Purses, Lucite Purses and Unique Decorative Objects. Browse our selections at your leisure. Daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes in most cases are housed in half or full leather cases unless otherwise specified. Except for thermoplastic cases, most images are pictured without cases. All measurements for these images and thermoplastic cases are in the standard plate sizes including full or whole plate, half plate, quarter plate, sixth plate, ninth plate, eighth plate or sixteenth plate. Some tintypes also are referred to as CDV-sized. Cabinet cards and CDVs are considered to be standard size unless otherwise noted. Most paper photographs are measured regarding the photograph only, not including the mat or mount, unless otherwise specified and is given in inches.
