Lillian Russell Cabinet Card - Remains To Be Seen

Nice image of the renowned actress Lillian Russell by Morrison. On the mount recto: 'Lillian Russell / Morrison / Haymarket Theatre / 161 West Madison St. / Chicago'. Rare cabinet card of this most-famous actress. Lillian Russell (1861-1922) was an American singer and actress. She began her career in light opera in 1879. When Tony Pastor introduced her at his casino in the early 1880s she became known as the 'American Beauty.' Russell eventually had her own company. The public enjoyed her flamboyant personality and her affair with Diamond Jim Brady is legendary.
