Superior African American Woman Image - Remains To Be Seen

Sixth plate tintype showing a full length view of an African American woman wearing a beautiful dress. She stands proud and tall with some type of larger hat. Her dress has diagonal stripes along the sleeves and shoulders that gives it a military feel. And she looks very masculine. Interesting Civil Ware era image. Circa 1865. Contained in a split leather case.
