Armless Lady Anne E. Leak Thompson CDV - Remains To Be Seen

Anne E. Leak Thompson was one of the most popular 'armless wonder' acts of the 19th century. This image is of the armless woman holding a pair of scissors with her foot. Haunting image of what could have been a physical deformity turned to profit by selling her own images and possibly traveling in the circus. Identified in period hand mount verso 'Ann E. Leak. Born without arms. Zebulon, Pike Co., Georgia Age 34 yrs. July 3, 1876.'

Excellent image that is crisp and clear!
