This horizontal image shows them all in a dramatic pose, all gathered around the male. Each sister has extremely long hair and toured in Barnum & Baily's Circus. Mount verso is a list of sisters. The Sutherland sisters claimed the longest hair on record, seven feet of luxuriant mane. This, tossed about and swished seven times over and combined with some lively singing, made the sisters a top attraction with Barnum in 1886. On the side the Sutherlands sold hair grower and scalp cleaner that could be found in better hairdressing parlors everywhere.
