Boy with a Cane and Hat Daguerroetype - Remains To Be Seen

Excellent sixth plate dag of a young boy holding a cane in one hand with his hat in the other hand. He is wearing a wonderful jacket with a leather belt and bold buckle. The child stands staring intently into the daguerreotypist's camera. His ever so slight movement merely blurs the hat but nothing else. This wonderful youth study has an ever so light ring of tarnish and one minor scratch on the center of the plate, but otherwise fine. Resealed in modern times and housed in a half leather case.

This item can be viewed at one of our antique mall locations. Please contact us for details.
