Excellent Civil War CDV of Union Navy Officer A.H. Foote with the American Flag, painted background. Appears to be a photograph of a painting. The officer is pictured in an elaborate uniform with a regal expression on his face. Behind the officer is a highly detailed painted background. The backmark reads 'Cartes de Visite, W.L. Troxell, Photographer, S.W. corner of Fourth and Locust streets, St. Louis, Mo. Photographs of all the distinguished officers in the army for sale at 25 cents each.' CDV has slight bump on lower right. High contrast; no fading and in near excellent condition.
