Sarony CDV of Joseph Jefferson - Remains To Be Seen

Near-excellent CDV of famed actor Joseph Jefferson by the top celebrity photographer of the times, Sarony of New York. Joseph Jefferson (1829-1905) was an actor who made his debut at age six. He was especially famous for his performance in 'Rip Van Winkle,' a play written by Dion Boucicault. He toured around the world and was such a success as Rip Van Winkle that audiences associated him with that role alone, even though he had a much broader comedic range.
