Ninth plate cross-eyed dag housed in a complete case. With Tyler & Co. of Boston Daguerreotype logo affixed to back of image. The young child, who suffers from what is also known as strabismus, is identified in period hand on the inside of the back of the case. 'The daguerreotype of Carrie Macomber taken when she was small - 15 years old'. Excellent example of a medical anomaly.
