Milly Cook - Actress - Remains To Be Seen

Milly Cook signed in period hand on Sarony cabinet card with photographer's name mount recto. Millie Cook was a well-known New York variety entertainer and actress in the 1870s. She performed in productions such as 'Blue Beard,' 'The Female Jack Sheppard,' and Niblo Garden's spectacular ballet-extravaganza, 'Leo and Lotos.' Cook was a headliner at Tony Pastor's and the Union Square Theatre. In this photo, at the Napoleon Sarony studio in New York, the focal point is her hat, with its white feathers.
